Vintage Princess on Friday

Phillip McCain test drives the mini Mercedes pedal car that his mom, Jennifer McCain, in back, collected as one of the items to be auctioned Friday night at the "Vintage Princess" fundraiser. He hopes she'll bring home this toy, which was donated by new event sponsor Mercedes-Benz of Huntsville.

McCain, auction chairwoman, said silent auction items also include dinners, wine club memberships, summer camp registration, $250 mall gift certificate, a pearl bracelet and a pendant, pottery, athletic club memberships, riding and tennis lessons, spa and skin treatments, dinner party for 10, cocktail party for 50 and more.

The $60-per-person event, with heavy hors d'oeuvres and wine and beer tasting, will benefit the arts education program of Princess Theatre Center for the Performing Arts.

To make a reservation for Vintage Princess, which starts at 6:30 p.m. Friday at the Sexton Building, call 350-1745.
