Brewton man charged with child sex abuse

BREWTON (AP) — A 44-year-old Brewton man has been arrested and charged with attempting to lure a child into his vehicle for sex.

Escambia County Sheriff Grover Smith said Kevin Lake, a truck driver, remained in Escambia County Jail in lieu of $400,000 bail.

Lake is charged with sexual abuse, possession of child pornography and enticing a child, the sheriff said Tuesday.

A search of the suspect's truck yielded a photograph of the man having sex with another child, investigators said.

Lake was arrested Friday.
