Hiding in plain sight

Location: 1317 Ninth Ave. S.E.

Description: This outbuilding is in the backyard of the residence. Someone turned over a doghouse and left it beside the outbuilding, which a neighbor says is rat-invested and possibly is a home for snakes.

Property owner: The former owner recently sold the house.

Ordinance: Enforcement officer David Lee was not available for comment.

Responsible officials: City Councilman David Bolding said he wasn’t aware of the problem but will check it out. He said there is no current complaint against the home to Community Development. He reviewed records and said someone filed a complaint against the home in 2001. He said he did not know what that complaint was about.
