Fayette woman gets life after slaying

FAYETTE (AP) — A judge sentenced a Fayette County woman to life in prison for her part in the 2003 murder of 33-year-old Amy Files Fuller, whose body was dumped in a well.

At Friday’s sentencing, 31-year-old Heather Pinion expressed remorse about the woman’s death, but never admitted to the killing.

Fuller’s body was found in the well four months after her murder.

The victim’s mother, Jonie Files, testified that the death of her only child “destroyed me,” and she said she’s glad Pinion got the maximum penalty.

Fayette County Circuit Judge James Moore sentenced Pinion to life in prison. The mother of three will be eligible for parole in 15 years.
