Icing the deal

Habitat for Humanity of Morgan County dedicated its 40th house Friday and its occupants, Amarion Birgans and his mother, Cherita Lewis, celebrate with cake on the back steps. The house is the “Extreme Makeover Habitat edition,” the only rehab home the group has undertaken in recent years. The project is a collaboration between the Decatur Jaycees, Publix Charities, Decatur Baptist Church, American Legion Post 15, City of Decatur Community Development and the Decatur Police Department.
