Limestone house fire seems 'suspicious'

MADISON — Limestone investigators were trying to determine Wednesday whether a house fire was arson.

Sheriff's Department Chief Investigator Stanley McNatt said the house is abandoned and was not supposed to have power.

"That makes a fire breaking out suspicious," he said.

The fire erupted Tuesday at 5:15 p.m. at 10603 Burgreen Road in Madison-annexed Limestone County.

McNatt said the home sustained heavy fire damage.
