Everyone out of hospital after Cullman school bus accident

HANCEVILLE (AP) — State troopers said no one remained hospitalized Thursday after a frightening accident in which a Cullman County school bus veered off a highway and flipped on its side near Hanceville.

Trooper spokeswoman Dorris Teague said the injured did not require lengthy hospitalization after the bus, carrying about 30 students from Fairview Middle School in North Cullman County, ran off Alabama 91. The accident occurred about 1:50 p.m. Wednesday as the bus brought the schoolchildren back from a field trip to the McWane Science Center in Birmingham.

Two adults and five children were reported injured, with at least four taken to a Cullman hospital and two others flown to hospitals in Huntsville and Birmingham.
