ATHENS — A trade involving sex and drugs ended in a false rape accusation and the two involved in the trade behind bars, according to Athens police.

Capt. Marty Bruce said Willie Lee Driskell Jr., 44, of 905 W. Washington St., Athens, allegedly offered a Decatur woman crack cocaine in exchange for sex.

Bruce said Driskell would not give the woman the cocaine until after they had sex.

Bruce identified the woman as Angela Marie Wilcutt, 27, of 126 Hillside Road.

"After sex, they smoked the crack cocaine and Wilcutt wanted Driskell to get more," Bruce said.

Driskell refused to buy more drugs, Bruce said.

Wilcutt allegedly went to police Friday to get even and reported that Driskell raped her, Bruce said.

The subsequent investigation uncovered the drugs-for-sex trade between the two, he said.

Police charged Driskell with conspiracy to commit a controlled substance crime and soliciting prostitution.

He is in jail on $2,000 bond.
