Committees
Senate Finance and Taxation-General Fund Committee approved a House-passed bill to use $7.8 million in federal funds to operate state employment and unemployment compensation offices and prevent layoffs. Goes to Senate.
Senate Governmental Affairs Committee voted to create a commission to study ways to create more meeting space for the Legislature, including remodeling the current Statehouse or constructing a new building. Goes to Senate.
