Methodists announce new appointments for churches in area

The United Methodist North Alabama Conference announced new ministers Saturday for some of its area churches.

In Decatur, changes include the Rev. Stanley Clark to Chapel Hill United Methodist as senior pastor, the Rev. Lillian Eddleman to Wesley Memorial as associate, the Rev. Ian Butler to Decatur First as associate and the Rev. Larry Eddie to Oakland as senior pastor.

New associate pastor

Hartselle First United Methodist will get the Rev. Bobby Ray Halbrooks as associate.

These additional churches in Morgan, Lawrence and Limestone counties also are getting new pastors or other staff members: the Rev. Joshua D. Allison to Salem in Hartselle, the Rev. Mickey Davis to McKendree, the Rev. David Parker to Tanner/Cambridge as senior pastor, the Rev. Bill Persons to Hillsboro as senior pastor, the Rev. James Bailey Jr. to Belle Mina as senior pastor and the Rev. Larry Millard to Lacey’s Spring as senior pastor.

The churches are in either the Northwest or Northeast districts of the conference.

Bishop Will Willimon announced appointments Saturday at the end of a two-day annual meeting.
