Hostage Education Drive Saturday

Members of the Decatur Cupidette Club will be handcuffed in front of Aquadome Recreation Center on Saturday as part of their annual Hostage for Education Drive.

Wearing caps and gowns, the members will remain handcuffed until they reach their goal of at least $1,000. The drive will begin at 9 a.m. at Eighth Street and Fifth Avenue Southwest.

The three previous drives have provided $500 scholarships for six local students.

Anyone who canít stop by the drive can send donations to Carol Harris, 412 Seventh Ave. N.W., Decatur, AL 35601; or Annie Lois Powell, 305 Fifth Ave. N.W., Decatur, AL 35601.

The club can also send members to pick up donations by calling 345-5593.
