Decatur student wins Tar Wars poster contest

Chestnut Grove Elementary student Caroline Lilly is the 2007 state winner of the Alabama Academy of Family Physicians’ Tar Wars poster contest. Lilly, who will be a fifth-grader next year, competed against 40 other posters from across the state. She drew her poster, left, as the Austin High School Medical Care Careers class visited her fourth-grade class. She is the daughter of Chris and Amy Lilly. Her poster will compete in a national Tar Wars competition in July in Washington, D.C. Eastwood Elementary student Celia Gannaway was third. Her poster is on the right. She will be a sixth-grader at Oak Park Middle School next year. She is the daughter of Bill and Karen Gannaway.
