Church group selling fireworks

Masterís Commission of Calvary Assembly of God Church will operate a fireworks stand at the churchís property on Alabama 20 west of Interstate 65.

The stand will be open Wednesday through July 4, noon to 10 p.m., said Kristi Stewart, administrative director for Masterís Commission.

A preview will be Friday, 2 to 10 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The ministry will use the money to help offset its Extreme School Assembly expenses for schools, she said.

Hartselle Camp Meeting is Friday

The 108th Hartselle Camp Meeting starts Friday with supper at 5 p.m. and opening worship at 7:30.

Camp preachers will be the Rev. Tom Tanner of Marietta, Ga., and the Rev. Paul Lawler of Huntsville.

The daily schedule Saturday through June 29 includes worship at 10:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. and prayer meetings at 9 a.m.

Meals will be at 7 a.m., noon and 5 p.m. Actor and author Dean Jones will speak Sunday night, and the Rev. Junior Hill, an evangelist, will speak Wednesday night.

The camp is on Tabernacle Road in Hartselle. Rob Cain is president.
