A third person accused in the brutal beating death of a Vinemont man is now in the custody of Morgan County authorities.

Stephen Lynn Woodall, 36, of 1209 North St. S.E., was transported to Decatur on Thursday and booked into Morgan County Jail on a charge of murder. Cullman County authorities had been holding Woodall on unrelated charges.

Woodall remained in jail Friday in lieu of $100,000 bond.

Sheriff Greg Bartlett said Woodall is one of three people suspected of killing Keith Edward Sullins, 41, with a baseball bat at a residence in the Lacon area.

Two other suspects

Arvil Lee Townson, 21, of Huntsville and Selena Michelle Kelley, 32, of Vinemont also face charges of murder.

Two others, Cheston Jared Campbell, 19, of Somerville and Christopher Allen Hogan, 30 of Falkville, face charges of hiding Sullins' body and dumping his sport utility vehicle.

Sullins' remains were found in a ravine in the Massey community Feb. 26, 2006, and divers later discovered his vehicle in the Tennessee River below the Bluff City boat ramp.

Bartlett said the group apparently slew Sullins, who was out of jail on bond on a methamphetamine trafficking charge, over drugs.
