6 arrested in meth bust

ATHENS — Athens and Limestone County authorities arrested six people after finding a meth lab in a home north of Elkmont on Saturday.

Scotty Lee Adams, 34, and five others were in the process of making methamphetamine when drug agents raided his home at 30800 Veto Road, Elkmont, according to reports.

Police arrested Adams, Randall Daly, 50, and Shelby Jean Holley, 44, both of 270167 New Bethel Road, Elkmont; Robert Andrew Roberson, 40, of 35620 Spence Cave Road, Elkmont; Susan Denise Roberson, 40, of 7101 Limestone County 1082, Vinemont; and James Lane Steelman, 33, of 15121 Ripley Road, Athens.

All are charged with first-degree illegal possession of marijuana, manufacture of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

They remained in Limestone County Jail on Sunday afternoon.
