A man was stabbed twice Sunday, apparently during two separate arguments with different people, Decatur police said.
The victim, Pablo Castro, 26, had barely returned home from the hospital following the fight at noon before he was being taken back, said detective Sgt. Rick Archer.
"The first time, they got into an argument and he got cut with a knife," Archer said. "Then he goes to the hospital and gets fixed up, comes back home, gets into another argument and gets poked with a screwdriver."
The wounds were minor.
When police went to the residence at 613 Fifth Ave. S.W. for the second time at about 10:30 p.m., they found Castro stranding in his front yard holding a tire iron and with a fresh stab wound in his stomach, said Sgt. Steve Campbell, a police spokesman.
Across the street, another man was covered in blood and claiming not to know how he received the injury to the back of his head.
Ambulances took both men to Decatur General Hospital, where they were treated and released.
Castro apparently knew both men he fought with, and none of the parties involved were interested in pursuing prosecution, Archer said.
