VALHERMOSO SPRINGS — Following the arrest of a man on an arson charge earlier this week, Morgan County sheriff's investigators said they expect the arrest of a juvenile in connection with the same fire.
Investigator Jodie King said she and the state fire marshal have been investigating the fire at a residence at 708 Johnson Landing Road since it happened on June 15.
King said their investigation led them to suspect that Jamie Corradini, 19, of 315 Sherbrook Drive and a juvenile, whose name was not released, were responsible for the blaze.
King said Corradini gave her a detailed statement concerning his part in the incident, and deputies arrested him Tuesday on a warrant charging him with second-degree arson. The juvenile will face the same charges in juvenile court, King said.
Morgan County Jail released Corradini on $1,000 bond Tuesday.
