Hiding in plain sight

Location: 56 Brookwood Drive (also called Brookwood Lane), Somerville.

Description: The caller said the house is too nice to have a yard covered in clutter and junk. The caller said that at one time the property owners cleaned up the yard but now the junk is back. Two trucks and a motorcycle are among the clutter.

Property owner: Morgan County revenue records show that Mary and Robbie Duke own the home. The Dukes could not be reached for comment.

Ordinance: There are no county ordinances concerning the appearance of homes.

Responsible officials: The home is in Commissioner Jeff Clark's District 1. Clark says he supports letting voters decide whether or not to enact an ordinance that would help keep properties in the county clean.
