Hiding in plain sight

Location: 564 Woodall Road, Trinity.

Description: A caller complained that this home is surrounded by junk and old cars. An old bathtub on top of a trailer is parked in the front yard, and a mattress is propped against the house on the front porch in addition to other items scattered around the property.

Property owner: Morgan County revenue commissioner records show that John Albert Murphy owns the home. Murphy could not be reached for comment.

Ordinance: Trinity recently passed a weed and junk ordinance. Trinity’s town clerk was unavailable to discuss the ordinance’s exact requirements.

Responsible officials: Mayor Vaughn Goodwin said the town’s ordinance deals mostly with weeds and plant overgrowth, but has minor sections that deal with junk.
