Police: man caught with stolen truck

An intoxicated man in a stolen pickup apparently drew too much attention to himself, Decatur police said Friday.

Police went to Ruby Tuesday on Beltline Road Southwest early Thursday in response to a call about an intoxicated person, said Sgt. Steve Campbell, a police spokesman.

"They found the guy in the truck and got him out, ran the truck and found out it had been reported stolen in Florida," Campbell said.

Police charged Justin Tyrone Cox, 24, of 9856 Lawrence County 214, Trinity, with receiving stolen property and public intoxication.

He remained in Morgan County Jail on Friday in lieu of $1,050 bond.
