Swimmerís body found on day 3

The third day of a search for Huntsville man in the Tennessee River near Ditto Landing ended Sunday morning with the discovery of his body.

Marshall County Coroner Marlon Killian said searchers located 25-year-old Robert Demetrius Williams, 25, of Baywood Drive at about 8:45 a.m. after just under two hours of searching that day.

Accidental drowning

Killian ruled the death an accidental drowning and said he didnít see anything else that would have contributed to the manís death.

William Szczepanski of the Morgan County Rescue Squad said a crew found the body not far from where Williams jumped out of a boat to go swimming Friday night at about
7:15. The incident occurred in Marshall County about two miles east of Huntsvilleís Ditto Landing.

Huntsville Emergency Medical Services Inc., Huntsville Fire Department, Alabama Marine Police, and the Morgan, Madison and Marshall county rescue squads searched the river until Friday night at about 11.

The groups worked from a command post at Whitesburg Boat and Yacht Club, east of Ditto Landing.

They returned to the water early Saturday and searched until a thunderstorm ran them off the river at about 4 p.m.
