Alcohol vote set Tuesday

ATHENS — Athens and Limestone County residents will go to the polls Tuesday.

Athens voters will vote on whether to repeal legal sales of alcoholic beverages and whether to raise sales tax to 9 percent for schools.

Limestone voters will decide whether to raise sales tax to 7 percent for schools.

Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. For sample ballots, go to www.decaturdaily.com.

The results will be displayed at the Clinton Street Courthouse Annex and in the Daily online edition.
