Trinity drainage ditch proposal on hold

TRINITY — A step to alleviate a drainage problem on South Seneca Drive and Mason Drive in Trinity is on hold while town officials continue to discuss the issue with three property owners.

Mayor Vaughn Goodwin said Town Engineer Sonny Wright proposed a small ditch down the east side of Mason Drive to a pond. Town Attorney Larry Madison said the town would need written, recorded easements from the property owners on the streets, which run parallel.

Murray Fagan and Kim Sargent both live on Mason Drive, and Allen Newman resides on South Seneca. None agreed to an easement at Monday’s council meeting.

Goodwin said council members will view the area again and he will ask Wright to review his study.
