GREENBRIER — Someone took two dump trucks worth nearly $200,000 from Greenbrier and left them stripped in a field.

Limestone County Sheriff’s Department Chief Investigator Stanley McNatt said someone stole the trucks from Long Lewis Sterling on Alabama 20 Tuesday night or Wednesday morning.

Authorities recovered the trucks in a field in the Thach community between Athens and Ardmore near Interstate 65.

McNatt said the trucks were missing their tires and wheels, worth a total of $20,000.

The dump trucks were new. One had a truck bed and one did not.

A wrecker was to remove the trucks from the field and return them to the dealership Wednesday evening.

McNatt said investigators do not have any suspects.

Anyone with information can call the Sheriff’s Department at 232-0111.
