Vigil for a fallen friend

Mourners gathered Sunday at Trinity Baptist Church to pay homage to a fallen friend, Dakota Douglas Morgan, 18, of Decatur. Morgan died Friday in a single-vehicle crash on Lawrence County 460. A 2007 graduate of West Morgan High School, he was a current scholarship student at Calhoun Community College and was set to start a job this month. His funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Shelton Funeral Home.
