Romney plans private fundraiser in Huntsville
HUNTSVILLE (AP) — Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney will hold a private fundraising reception Aug. 29 in Huntsville.
Invitations say the $1,000-per-couple event will be held at the home of Dennis and Tammy Oliver.
For a donation of $2,300 per couple, people can have their photo made with the former Massachusetts governor.
Romney was last in Alabama in February, when he spoke to a Republican Party dinner in Montgomery. He had planned a fundraiser in Birmingham in March, but canceled it.
His wife, Ann, attended that February event in Montgomery and returned to the capitol in April to speak at another party event.
