Fuming over smoking ordinance
A sign in front of Tony’s Country Cooking shows displeasure with the Decatur City Council’s approval of a smoking ordinance that prohibits smoking in public buildings in the city, including restaurants. It also criticizes Mayor Don Kyle for not exercising his veto despite reservations about the ordinance. The ban is considered the toughest for a large city in Alabama. It will take effect Oct. 1.
