ARDMORE — The Crape Myrtle Festival in Ardmore is about more than seeing and buying the flowering shrub.
The 15th annual event will include music, children’s activities, and arts and crafts and food booths.
It costs a $1.
Festivities are from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at John Barnes Park on the Tennessee side on Ardmore Ridge Road.
The order of appearance for the musical acts is:
9 a.m. — Family of Praise.
10 a.m. — Victory Tabernacle.
10:30 a.m. — Birds of A Feather.
11:30 a.m. — Next Generation Expression Dance Choir.
Noon — Li’ Bit of Heart and Soul.
1 p.m. — Cory Elrod.
2 p.m. — Southern Splendor.
2:30 p.m. — Matthew Foster of Medford’s Black Record Collection.
The presentation of the Crape Myrtle Pageant queens will be between the 11:30 a.m. and noon acts.
