Decatur home’s roof catches fire
The roof of a home at 1308 Clearview St. S.W. in Decatur burned early Saturday.
A spokesman for Decatur Fire and Rescue said the fire started at about 4 a.m. and crews were on the scene until about 10.
There were no injuries. The name of the owner and the cause were not available.

Runaway car hits gas pump
A woman left her car running while she ran into Snackers convenience store on Modaus Road Southwest on Saturday morning, and the vehicle slipped into gear and rammed a gas pump.
Decatur Fire and Rescue went to the scene at about 10 a.m., but there were no problems beyond a damaged gas pump and vehicle.

Coroner describes death as suspicious
Morgan County Coroner Russ Beard said he is treating a body found Saturday at Danville Park Apartments in Decatur as a “suspicious death.”
Beard said the death of Stephen Bradley Blaich, 29, was possibly drug-related. Beard was called at 4:10 p.m.
Foul play is not suspected, but Beard did sent the body for an autopsy. Decatur Fire and Rescue was on the scene, and Decatur police are investigating.
