A makeover for Champs

Champs, the Tiger mascot at Hartselle High, will get a complete makeover during the school's pep rally Thursday. The old Tiger outfit, made by retired teacher Penny Dollar, is worn out, said cheerleader sponsor Beth Long.

In the photo above, Hugheston Slate, a senior who wears the mascot outfit, limps into Hartselle's jamboree win Thursday over Deshler. His new Tiger outfit will be seen for the first time Thursday, the day Hartselle opens its football season against visiting Austin High.
