Trinity approves parking lot lighting
TRINITY — The Trinity Town Council on Monday approved paying Joe Wheeler Electric Membership Corp. $425 per pole to install eight poles to improve lighting at parking lots.
The town plans six of the poles at the municipal building and ball fields nearby while two are set for Kimbrell Park.
Mayor Vaughn Goodwin said the power company may suggest more poles after further review.

Trinity walking trail under construction
TRINITY — Trinity Mayor Vaughn Goodwin said work starts Tuesday morning on a walking trail from between the ball fields and the municipal building. He said Vulcan Materials is supplying the gravel and District 1 Morgan County Commissioner Jeff Clark is providing support for construction.

Trinity approves easement for utility
TRINITY — The Trinity Town Council on Monday approved selling a 30-by-30-foot easement to BellSouth Corp. for $4,000. The property is in front of Fire Station 2 on North Seneca Drive. Mayor Vaughn Goodwin said BellSouth needs the land to get trucks off the right-of-way as it installs a new terminal to upgrade high-speed Internet digital subscriber lines.
