Hartselle approves land purchase contract with developer
HARTSELLE — Saying it's a good day for the city, a unanimous council agreed to sign a $2.2 million contract to sell 18.8 acres of city-owned property to Institutional Investments Corp. The company is a division of Aronov Realty, a Montgomery-based real estate and development and management firm started in 1952. The contract gives the company 330 days to develop the property, which is near Alabama 36 and Interstate 65, said Mayor Dwight Tankersley. "Right now, we're not sure what they will put on the property," Tankersley said. The company has completed and ongoing developments in North Alabama. Publix has anchored most of those developments.
