Workers demolished what was left of Decatur's only Chick-fil-A restaurant Tuesday evening on Beltline Road, adjacent to Colonial Mall.

A waffle-fry cooker caught fire at the popular eatery Aug. 1, causing extensive smoke damage. Owner Keith Barry said he hopes to reopen at the same site in December.
