Humane Society to hold pet adoption at Petco on Saturday

Anyone in the market for a pet should be at Petco on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for a Morgan County Humane Society pet adoption.

Petco is at 1605 Beltline Road S.W.

Robyn Purdy, the society’s chairwoman and chief executive officer, said kittens and puppies will be available, all under 10 weeks of age.

“We encourage people to come and see what we have, and fill out an application,” she said. “No one will leave with a pet Saturday. First, we’ll do a background check to make certain they’re going to the right place for the right reason.”
