Hair of the Dog

Martha Jacobs trims her dog John Wayne’s fur outside her home on Walnut Street in Northeast Decatur. Jacobs rescued the dog, which later ran away.

She had given up looking for him when a co-worker suggested she check the animal shelter. That is where she found him.

She believes her dog looks like an English shepherd, while friends believe he looks more like a husky.
