Tires cut in neighborhood

Vandals immobilized vehicles in a Southwest Decatur neighborhood last week, Decatur police said.

Following the tire-slashing spree early Friday, police took at least 15 reports of damaged tires in the 1200 block of Thomas Drive Southwest alone, said Lt. Frank DeButy, a police spokesman.

The 24 damaged tires listed in those reports totaled more than $4,500.

DeButy said police had no suspects in the crimes.
