A touch of the world at Cedar Ridge

School in Decatur in an international theme to go along with the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program that the school is implementing.

The mural features various continents, famous quotes and “peace” and “welcome” written in different languages. Hales is a parent of a seventh-grade student at the school.

The IB Middle Years Program inspectors will be in Decatur in October and November to decide whether to make the middle schools and high schools in Decatur official IB schools. Decatur would be the first system in Alabama with the IB Middle Years Program.
