Calhoun offers nurses free class

Calhoun Community College is offering free continuing education for North Alabama nursing professionals Thursday in the Health Science Center.

"Safety Strategies for Nurses" will cover crisis management, patient-in-crisis behaviors, communication in threatening situations and physical safety. There is no charge, and the Alabama Board of Nursing is offering two contact hours to those who bring a license. The class will be in room 109 from 6 to 8 p.m. Call 306-2794 for information.
