Hartselle school board

The Hartselle Board of Education on Monday:

  • Accepted the resignations of Bob Young, prom sponsor at Hartselle High; Steve Knight as eighth-grade basketball coach; Michelle Reburn as boys soccer coach at Hartselle High; Regina Hudson as swim coach at Hartselle High; Benji Hughes as assistant baseball coach at Hartselle High; Shane Owens, Kim Agee and Jessica Wimberly as extended day teachers at Crestline Elementary; Nick Smith as teacher aide at Hartselle Junior High; and Maxine Sanford as secretary to the superintendent.

  • Transferred Holly Allen from three hours to six hours per day as cafeteria worker at Hartselle Junior High.

  • Employed Lori Lott as fifth-grade teacher at F.E. Burleson, retroactive to Aug. 3; Ed Land as lead teacher at Barkley Bridge Elementary; Debra Harvel as lead teacher at F.E. Burleson; Brenda Yocom as lead teacher at Crestline; Terry Hughes and Tara Hamlet as mentor teachers at F.E. Burleson; Evelyn Cryer as custodian at Hartselle High, retroactive to Sept. 1; James Howard as custodian at Crestline, effective Sept. 20; Beverly Spurlin for the extended day program at Barkley Bridge; Houston Blackwood as assistant wrestling coach; Nanette Edde as boys and girls soccer coach at Hartselle Junior High; Shane Russell as eighth-grade basketball coach; David Robinson as boys soccer coach at Hartselle High; Kim Pittman as boys and girls swim coach; John Hall as assistant baseball coach at Hartselle High; Kritsi Greeson as varsity scholar’s bowl sponsor at Hartselle High; and Tammy Shelton as teacher aide based in the central office.

  • Accepted a low bid of $72,655 from Transportation South to purchase a 72-passenger bus.
