Moulton City Council

MOULTON — The Moulton City Council approved the following Monday:

  • A United Way roadblock fundraiser from 9 a.m. until noon on Oct. 13 at Court and Hospital streets.

  • A one-time payment for retirees in place of cost-of-living increases, at a total cost of $3,000.

  • The purchase of two police cars.

  • Appointment of Billy Rains to the Planning Commission Board.

  • A new weather siren encoder for $4,145.

  • Acceptance of a low bid of $100,849.92 from Vortex Truck & Equipment for a truck to pick up trash and debris from roads.

  • Acceptance of a low bid of $7,500 to Craig Stevenson for traffic light loops at East and Court streets and at Hospital and Court streets.
