Riverfest winners

The Jiggy Piggy team won the Grand Champion award at Saturdayís 13th annual Riverfest barbecue contest in Decatur. The team won a smoker, trophy and $3,000.

The Reserve Grand Champion was Lotta Bull BBQ.

The top winners in the festivalís five categories are, from first to third place:

Sauce — Haleyville Rotary Club, Moon Shadow Smokers and Governorís BBQ.

Chicken — Wild Bunch Butt Burners, Team Top Chick and Lotta Bull BBQ.

Pork ribs — Cool Smoke, and Texas Rib Rangers.

Pork — E.J.ís Q, Governorís BBQ and Papa Jís.

Brisket — Wizards of Que, Jiggy Piggy, and Bill and the Dixie Chick.

Ducky Derby

Rubber ducks also were part of the Riverfest fun. The Volunteer Center of Morgan Countyís winners of the Ducky Derby are as follows — first special categories, then race winners from first to last:

Corporate Duck — Hellebrand Agency.

Peopleís Choice — NARCOG Foundation.

Decorate A Duck — Island Girl.
