School boards honored at meeting

Nine school boards received the President’s Award of the Alabama Association of School Boards on Monday night at the District 8 meeting at Decatur’s Holiday Inn.

Decatur and Lawrence, Limestone and Morgan counties received recognition for at least 60 percent of their members attending three or more AASB School Board Member Academy conferences during the 2006-07 school year. Muscle Shoals, Russellville and Colbert, Lauderdale and Winston counties also received the honor.
