Man taken from car, robbed at gunpoint

A man told police he was pulled from his vehicle and brutally attacked by two armed men Monday night, Decatur police said.

Officers found the 18-year-old victim in the 100 block of Blueberry Lane Southwest, standing in the roadway with blood all over his shirt, said Lt. Frank DeButy, a police spokesman.

The man told police two black males drove up in a cream-colored two-door Pontiac at about 11:30 p.m., DeButy said.

A black female was also in the car but never got out.

"He said the two black males got out, ran up to his driver's door and jerked him from his car," DeButy said. "He said he was thrown to the ground and kicked in the face by one of the black males. One produced a silver semi-auto handgun put to the back of his head and demanded his money."

The other man allegedly searched his pockets, taking a cell phone and a billfold that contained cash.

DeButy said the victim declined medical treatment.
