From Decatur to the stars
A Decatur-made rocket launched successfully from Cape Canaveral, Fla., on Thursday. It was the 76th consecutive successful launch for the United Launch Alliance's Delta II.
It is carrying a NASA space probe destined for the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter.
Huntsville's Marshall Space Flight Center is managing the probe during its seven-year, 3.2-billion-mile journey.
