Former Vincent pastor faces charges after wife’s death

VINCENT (AP) — The former pastor of the Revival Center in Vincent has been charged with murder in his wife’s 2005 shooting death.

Shelby County Chief Assistant District Attorney Bill Bostick said Timothy Dane Tillman, 43, was in the Shelby County Jail on Friday.

He was returned from Florida earlier in the day. Bond is set at $500,000.

Tillman is accused of deliberately shooting Janet Lorita Tillman, 40, at the couple’s Vincent home on Oct. 26, 2005.

Tillman had said the shooting was an accident and happened when his shotgun accidentally fired while he was cleaning it, striking his wife in the back.
