Alzheimer’s group to meet Tuesday

The Alzheimer’s support group will meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Mental Health Association Office, 207 Commerce Circle S.W., for discussion.

November is National Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness Month, and the MHA will hold a Lunch and Learn on Nov. 7 and a memory screening and Alzheimer’s Awareness Fair on Nov. 14. For more information, call 353-1160.

Raptor program Sunday at Wheeler

Wheeler National Wildlife Refuge will present a birds of prey program Sunday.

Presented by Curt Cearley, a master falconer raptor rescuer, the program will include live raptors.

Tommy White, a refuge volunteer, also will discuss the North American Kestrel nesting box trail and the support he provides to the refuge.

The program will be at the refuge’s Visitors Center from 2 to 4 p.m. For more information, call 350-6639.
