Hartselle Board of Education
HARTSELLE — The Hartselle Board of Education on Tuesday:
Elected Cathy White Goodwin as the board’s delegate to the Alabama Association of School Boards Conference in Birmingham on Dec. 6-8.
Elected Jimmy Dobbs as District 8 director for the Alabama Association of School Boards.
Approved bids for janitorial supplies.
Accepted a bid of $71,655 from Transportation South in Pelham for a 72-passenger bus.
Approved a job description for teacher aides in the transition program.
Approved an out-of-state field trip for the fifth-grade gifted program to the Zoo Atlanta on March 6-7.
Adjusted the supplement for assistant baseball coach John Hall from $3,340 to $3,200.
Accepted the resignations of Sandra Meadows, teacher aide for the transition program at Hartselle High; Casie Chittam as dance sponsor at Hartselle Junior High; and Joyce Blackmon as central office receptionist and secretary, effective Jan. 31.
Employed Jenny McFee, mentor teacher for Robin Halbrooks; Nannette Miller as prom sponsor at Hartselle High; Margaret Ann Praytor as annual staff sponsor at Hartselle High; and Janice Parker as three-hour-per-day cafeteria worker at Hartselle Junior High.
Granted family medical leave to Betty Ferguson, effective after she uses 20.5 sick days and three personal-leave days.
Approved leave of absences for Tricia Bibb at Hartselle High for the first semester of the 2007-08 academic year and Franklin Swann, custodian at Hartselle Junior High.
