Crisis response class is Monday

Do you know what to do when others need your help in an emergency?

Community Emergency Response Training will start Monday and continue weekly through Dec. 10 at Turner-Surles Community Center, 702 Sycamore St. N.W. Hours will be 6 to 9 p.m.

The training includes managing utilities, putting out small fires, rendering basic medical aid, searching, rescuing, organizing the scene and collecting information for first responders.

Participants will learn to open airways, control bleeding and treat for shock.

The Volunteer Center of Morgan County and Morgan County Emergency Management Agency are offering the training. For information, contact Dianna Tolliver at 355-8628.
