Capt. Foster E. Knowles
 U.S. Army

  • Ardmore native, 1996 Ardmore High School graduate. Graduate of the University of Mississippi.

  • Served two tours in Iraq with C Company, Eighth Engineer Battalion.

  • Platoon leader, Explosive Ordinance escort, member of a Military Transition Team responsible for training an Iraqi Army battalion and members of the Iraqi National Police Headquarters, where he was Headquarters Company Adviser, Team Engineer and Assistant G-3.

  • He has received the Bronze Star with an Oak Leaf Cluster and has also been awarded the Purple Heart.

    Parents: Mr. and Mrs. K.F. Knowles of Ardmore.
