Authorities identify man killed in Lawrence wreck
Authorities on Sunday identified the man killed Saturday in a Lawrence County wreck. Four people remained in Huntsville Hospital, receiving treatment for injuries suffered in that accident and another one.
Saturday’s one-vehicle wreck killed German Ariel Escabar, 23, of Birmingham. It happened at 9:10 a.m. on Alabama 157 about seven miles north of Moulton, state troopers said.
Oscar Galeazs, 25, of Birmingham, who was critically injured in that wreck, was in serious condition Sunday.
A 21-year-old Birmingham man identified by troopers as Fransciso Missael was also injured, and was taken to Huntsville Hospital for treatment, initially in critical condition.
A hospital spokeswoman said she could not release the man’s condition Sunday because Fransciso Missael is not his full name.
Galeazs was driving a pickup, troopers said. Escabar and Missael were passengers.
Matthew Moore, 30, and Cynthia Bright, 44, both of Vinemont, were being treated in Huntsville Hospital on Sunday for injuries suffered in a Friday wreck that killed Scherry Clark, 18, of Hartselle and Steve Faulkner, 50, of Vinemont.
A hospital spokeswoman said Moore was in critical condition, and Bright was in fair condition.
The one-vehicle wreck happened at 5:30 p.m. one mile south of West Point on Cullman County 1246, troopers said. Bright was driving and Moore was a passenger.
